Proactazyme Plus [Digestive] is a stronger, more powerful version of Proactazyme®, a popular digestive enzyme supplement. Digestive enzymes may be in short supply in some people, and supplementing with them allows the body to get maximum nutrition from the diet and support efficient digestion.

Proactazyme Plus contains 10 powerful enzymes in a base of caraway, dandelion, fennel, gentian and ginger to your digestive system function at optinmal levels.

Amylase which changes carbohydrates (starch) into maltose. It acts with protease to stimulate immune-system function, and can work with lipase to digest carbohydrates.
Glucoamylase changes various starches into glucose for energy.
Lipase breaks down fat into fatty acids and glycerin.
Cellulase breaks down cellulose (a plant fiber), a complex carbohydrate that humans cannot digest.
Invertase changes sucrose into glucose for energy.
Malt diastase augments the breakdown of starches. Alpha galactosidase hydrolyzes sugars found in certain foods.
Peptidase helps break down proteins into amino acids.

It also contains a blend of protease formulated to digest proteins at various pH levels ranging from 3.0 to 6.0. New enzymes added to the formula help break down sugars, vegetable fibers, long-chain starches and proteins.
